ARH Scanner SDK Installation
Overview
The ARH Combo Smart passport reader is equipped with high-resolution cameras and advanced OCR algorithms that can quickly and accurately scan and read passport and ID card data. It can also verify the authenticity of the scanned documents using a variety of security features, such as holograms and watermarks, to ensure that the scanned documents are genuine.
Splan integration with ARH Combo Smart passport reader can help streamline the visitor registration process by automatically capturing and populating visitor information from scanned passports and ID cards. This can help improve accuracy and efficiency, as well as enhance security by quickly identifying any potential security risks. Additionally, the ARH Combo Smart passport reader can help organizations comply with data protection and privacy regulations by securely storing and managing visitor data.
Limitations
ARH Scanner SDK supports scanning only USA Drivers License backside barcode and Passport MRZ codes. This SDK does not extract photo from license.

Installation
There are two steps involved to configure Splan connecting to Gemalto scanner.
1. Install Scanner SDK
2. Install Splan Connector (click here to install Splan Connector)
Download the ARH SDK from the link Here. and install the SDK by following the instructions provided below.
Select the checkbox 'I accept the terms in the License Agreement.'
Now install the SDK "pr-2.1.8.1-x64".
If the SDK need to AutoStart on every day when the system / machine is restarted, please select checkbox 'AutoStart the PCSC control'.
Installation will ask to restart the PC, click 'No' to finish the other SDK installation and restart in the end.
Now install the SDK "pr-2.1.8.1-x86".
If the SDK need to AutoStart on every day when the system / machine is restarted, please select checkbox 'AutoStart the PCSC control'.
Restart computer after Scanner SDK installation is completed.
Scanner SDK installation is completed, you can now install Splan Connector from here
Scanner Check with ARH Device with Full Page Reader tool:
- Open the Full Page Reader x64 tool from start menu under ARH section.
- Connect the ARH Combo Smart passport reader to your computer using the USB cable provided with the device.
- Insert Passport or ID card into the scanner's document feeder or place it on the scanner's flatbed. Make sure that the document is properly aligned and that there are no wrinkles or folds.
- Click the "Scan" button in the Full Page Reader x64 tool to initiate the scanning process. The scanner will scan the document and display the scanned image on the computer screen.
- Verify that the scanned image is clear and that all information on the document is legible. If the image is not clear, adjust the scanner settings or reposition the document and try again.
- Once the scanned image is verified, click the "OCR" button in the Full Page Reader x64 tool to initiate the OCR process. The tool will extract text from the scanned image and display it on the computer screen.
- Verify the extracted text: Verify that the extracted text is accurate and complete. If there are any errors, you may need to adjust the scanner settings or manually correct the errors.
